On n’en entend de plus en plus parler, les femmes sont souvent dénigrées dans l’industrie de la bière. Un des facteurs c’est notre sous-nombre.
Et comme dans tous les métiers où les femmes sont sous représentées, automatiquement on les compare. C’est parfois tellement insidieux qu’au lieu de se soutenir et créer un front commun, certaines femmes de l’industrie tombent dans le piège et automatiquement voient une compétition, une menace dans les autres femmes.
Pourtant, le milieu EST TELLEMENT LOIN D’ÊTRE SATURÉ de femmes! (Sans parler des BIPOC)
Heureusement, d’autres femmes l’ont compris, comme @thegirlwithbeer .
Elle me parlait de sa gang de girls « from all around the US » et comment elles sont bien plus que des collègues de travail, mais un réseau de support. Cette rencontre m’a redonné espoir. Et de voir la vague d’amour des autres femmes sous la publication de Melis a été tellement thérapeutique pour moi.

We hear more and more about it, women are often denigrated in the beer industry. One of the factors is that we are undernumber. And as in all professions where women are under-represented, they are automatically compared. It is sometimes so insidious that instead of supporting each other and creating a common front, some women in the industry fall into the trap and automatically see competition, a threat in other women.
However, our environment IS SO FAR FROM BEING SATURATED with women! (Not to mention the BIPOCs)
Fortunately, other women have understood this, like @thegirlwithbeer . She was telling me about her girl gang "from all around the US" and how they are so much more than co-workers but also a huge support system. This encounter gave me hope. And seeing the outpouring of love from others female bloggers under Melis’s post has been therapeutic for me.
